Privacy Policy

Effective: May 18, 2026

Cavera Marketing ("Cavera," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to caveramarketing.com and any related services we provide.

1. Who we are

Cavera Marketing is a digital agency offering website design, development, paid advertising, branding, landing pages, conversion optimization, and website management services. Our principal place of business is [BUSINESS ADDRESS]. You can contact us at hello@caveramarketing.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information in three ways:

Information you give us directly.

  • Name, email address, phone number, business name, and project details when you fill out our contact form, book a call, or request a quote.
  • Billing and payment information when you purchase a service. Card details are processed by Shopify Payments / our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications you send us (emails, messages, project briefs).
  • Account information if you create a customer account.

Information collected automatically when you visit the site.

  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent.
  • Cookie identifiers (see Section 5).
  • Approximate geographic location (city/country level) derived from IP address.

Information from third parties.

  • Shopify (orders, customer accounts, cart contents).
  • Cowlendar Booking (appointment data when you schedule a call).
  • Analytics providers (aggregated traffic data).
  • Advertising platforms (campaign performance data; aggregated audience data we use to retarget visitors).

3. How we use your information

We use personal information for:

  • Providing our services. Delivering websites, ads, designs, and ongoing management we have been hired to provide.
  • Processing payments. Charging cards, sending invoices, issuing refunds.
  • Communication. Replying to inquiries, scheduling calls, sending project updates, sending receipts and order confirmations.
  • Marketing. Sending occasional emails about our services (you can unsubscribe any time using the link in any email).
  • Improving the site. Understanding which pages perform well, diagnosing bugs, optimizing performance.
  • Security and fraud prevention. Protecting against unauthorized access, scraping, and abuse.
  • Legal compliance. Meeting our obligations under applicable laws, including tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws.

Legal bases for processing (relevant to visitors in the EU/UK): performance of a contract, our legitimate business interests, consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed:

  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform; processes orders, customer accounts, and payments.
  • Payment processors — Shopify Payments and/or any other card processor we use to charge your card.
  • Cowlendar — our appointment-booking app, when you schedule a call.
  • Email service providers — to send transactional and marketing emails.
  • Analytics providers — aggregated, pseudonymized traffic data (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics).
  • Advertising partners — pixel and conversion data from Meta, Google, and similar networks if you visit our site and we run ads. This data is typically pseudonymized.
  • Professional advisors — accountants, lawyers, auditors, where legally required.
  • Authorities — if compelled by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, regulatory request).
  • Successor entity — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.

We require all third parties to handle your information consistently with this policy and applicable law.

5. Cookies and tracking

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, local storage, beacons) to:

  • Keep your shopping cart and session active.
  • Remember your preferences (language, theme).
  • Measure site performance and usage.
  • Run and measure advertising campaigns.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not break the site, but advertising will be less relevant. For full cookie details and choices, see our Cookie Policy.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, common format.
  • Opt out of marketing communications and sale/sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny services or charge you more for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@caveramarketing.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity before fulfilling the request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days). You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, and tax retention requirements. In general:

  • Order and billing records: 7 years (tax law).
  • Customer accounts: until you ask us to delete the account.
  • Marketing email subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

  • Communications: retained for the duration of the business relationship plus a reasonable period for dispute resolution.

8. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable third-party services like Shopify. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

9. International data transfers

Our services are operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards when transferring data internationally.

10. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-party links

The site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before sharing personal information with them.
